The BEST Striped Maternity Dress Styled 10 Different Ways

I truly feel that you don’t have to buy a whole new wardrobe just because you are pregnant. I do, however, LOVE maternity clothes. They are SO comfortable! I don’t understand why they have such a bad rep.  It is 100% possible to mix and match a few staple maternity pieces with items that you already have. Doing this will save money and maybe your sanity (because lets face it, trying on clothes pregnant no matter how comfy they are is a daunting task to say the least).

I have gotten away (so far at 22 weeks) with purchasing only a couple of maternity jeans (dark and light wash) a pair of leggings, a couple shirts and this dress. The dress is what I want to focus on today. I will, as time goes on, post more “outfit of the day” and “how to wear it” blogs regarding my other purchases.

Okay, so this dress. How do I describe it? It’s buttery soft, breathable, perfect for any season, easy to mix and match with other clothing pieces and accessories, from Target (super affordable)…the list goes on. Oh, and the horizontal stripes..don’t let them scare you! I honestly have NEVER been able to wear striped dresses before because they never flattered my mid section. Now that I have a legit baby bump (and not just a food baby), I find myself drawn to the stripes! They really show off a growing belly in the best way!

So here it goes… (thanks for doing it again, Target!)  Click on any of the images to enlarge, and if you have any questions about other pieces of the outfits, don’t hesitate to ask! Also, I know I am no model 😉

First up, a simple “going out” look. To “dress up” this dress, all that’s needed is a pair of pumps and a statement necklace! Too easy!

Switch out the pumps for a pair of booties, add a blazer and you have a business casual outfit.

Lose the blazer and add a long cardigan vest and you have more of a relaxed look. I also love this paired with moccs!

This is another very comfy-casual look created by simply layering a couple of necklaces and adding a leather bag and sandals!

This next outfit is probably one of my favorites! I just layered on a long boyfriend cardigan (love it either buttoned up or open), a floral scarf, bright bag and my favorite pair of Keds!

Okay,  I lied.. this one actually might be my favorite. Quick and easy: dress + keds + jean jacket. ❤

There’s something about stripes, gold, and lace that just make my heart happy. I will admit, it’s not nearly  warm enough here in Maryland to wear this look…but I cant wait.

Go without the lace and its still a lovely spring/summer outfit…or add other cardigans like this number …

So there you have it! 10 ways to wear 1 super affordable dress from Target! There are SO many other dresses online like this one that vary in stripe width and color. Honestly the pairing options for this dress are endless!

Stay tuned (subscribe!) for more outfits and how to mix and match maternity clothes with items that you may already have!
