We are headed to the mountains today! After a crazy week, it’s just what the doctored ordered. I can’t wait to get settled in and breathe that fresh mountain air. I am also really hoping we get to see some fall colors during our stay! Either way, we will be around family… and I am so looking forward to it!
The theme for this week’s Friday Favorites is – PAMPERING. We all deserve to give ourselves a little TLC from time to time, and it doesn’t have to be with anything super expensive or crazy! It’s all about getting into a relaxing state of mind and just enjoying the process.
1. A Light-Weight Robe– While all of this pampering is going on, you’ll want something comfy and cozy to wear. This robe is the perfect pick-me-up you’ll need after a long day! Best part, it’s under 20 bucks and is amazon PRIME! (click photo for more info.)
2. OPI Avojuice Lotion– All lotions are not created equal. This lotion glides on your skin and leaves it feeling so soft… and the scents are amazing and last for awhile! When I worked in the salon doing mani/pedis, I loved using this stuff on my clients. Its the perfect lotion to use after you have a fresh coat of paint on your piggies. I also love the trial sizes, as they are small enough to fit in your purse or car! A little goes a long way with these! (click photo for more info!)
3. Ponds Cold Cream Cleanser – Yep, that’s right… ponds cleanser… I know, its old school… this stuff needs to come off of your grandma’s vanity and go straight into your pampering routine. It removes makeup and leaves your skin feeling moisturized to the max. I take a washcloth and run it under hot water. I then slather this stuff all over my face/neck working in circular motions. Massage it in good! Then, I take that hot washcloth and gently remove the cleanser. Off comes all the dirt, grime and makeup. It’s amazing… and cheap! Win Winnnnn! (click photo for more details)
4. Vitamin C Serum by Serumtologie- After you rob grandmother of her Pond’s and try it out (you can thank me later), use several drops of this serum on your face/neck. You may feel a little bit of a tingle, and that’s normal. You are doing your skin HUGE disservice if you’re lacking a Vitamin C serum in your routine. I’m telling you, it makes a world of difference! It brightens your skin while reducing fine lines/wrinkles AND it protects your skin. I first started to use it after I did face masks, but it has made it’s way from my “pampering routine” to my “every day routine”. (click photo for more info..and check out those reviews! It’s good stuff, y’all!)5. Chamomile Tea– Take two tea bags and make a cup (or two) of tea. Place the used bags in the fridge to cool.. and thennn… wait for it… use them to place on top of tired-closed (obviously) eyes. It wakes you up while de-puffing. (click photo for more info)
Hope you all enjoyed this week’s favs! Remember to pamper yo-self every once in a while! ❤
